Meeting Day 2

I am very happy with myself for starting back on track.  Instead of feeling hopeless, I feel hopeFULL.

Today I was pretty on track again.

  • Good breakfast of bread, jam, kiwis (cut up again!) tea and milk.
  • Morning break I only ate fruit despite pastries on the table
  • Lunch one peice of bread (yeah me) and a mix of veggies and some meat.  Dessert of fruit salad.
  • Afternoon break I avoided the cookies and had a plum (novelty of plums in March is wearing off because I am realizing they are not very good now!).  I do admit that leaving the meeting I had one small cookie.  I also had a lollipop, they put out a basket of lollipops and they have always been one of my “secret weapons” in dieting because it’s a lot of flavor for not so many calories and it takes a long time to eat.  I ate one and threw 3 others in my bag…
  • I ate nothing at the cocktail reception even though there were trays of hors d’ouvres passed around.  And I only drank water…
  • Dinner should be reasonable…

About sleep… Last night’s planned good sleep didn’t happen.  It was out of my control but my DH had planned to come to the hotel to sleep here w me.  He got hung up and came much later than planned and since he was coming to this run-down hotel uniquely because I’m stuck here for the work meeting I couldn’t see going to sleep before he got here… so I only got 5 1/2 hours of sleep.  Hopefully tonight will be better.
